Stearns Wharf, named for its builder, a local lumberman, it is the original wharf at the foot of State Street in Santa Barbara.
It is a long pier that has restaurants, shops, and boat rentals.
You have to go through a gatehouse to drive on the pier, but there is free parking for the first 90 minutes.
In 1872, it was the longest pier between Los Angeles and San Francisco.
